Backend Developer – Rust (Actix + PostgreSQL)

About Employer:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in Rust to build high-performance and reliable server-side applications. You will be a key contributor to our team, responsible for designing and implementing core services and APIs. The ideal candidate is passionate about security, performance, and the unique challenges of building with Rust.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services using Rust and the Actix framework.
• Manage data storage and integrity by working with PostgreSQL.
• Implement robust and secure APIs that meet the performance requirements of our platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features.
• Ensure the back-end systems are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Write clean, well-tested, and idiomatic Rust code, contributing to code reviews and a culture of best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven professional experience as a Backend Developer.
• Expertise in the Rust programming language.
• Strong proficiency with the Actix framework.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and a solid understanding of relational databases.
• Familiarity with API design principles.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with asynchronous programming in Rust.
• Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with other Rust web frameworks.
