The Mission:

We are searching for an expert AI Engineer who specializes in the application and fine-tuning of large AI models for robotic control. This role is central to our mission, transforming high-level, human commands into robust, executable robot behaviors using the latest in Vision-Language-Action research.

Responsibilities:

• Model Expertise: Lead the evaluation, adaptation, and fine-tuning of Vision-Language-Action (VLA) Models for robotic manipulation and control.
• Framework Implementation: Deeply utilize frameworks such as NVIDIA Gr00t and related tools to deploy and manage VLA models on robotic platforms.
• Data Pipelines: Design and manage specialized data pipelines for robotics, leveraging large-scale datasets including LeRobot data for model pre-training and fine-tuning.
• Deployment & Integration: Work closely with the Simulation and Robotics teams to integrate trained VLA models into both simulated and physical robot systems.
• Research & Innovation: Stay at the forefront of the Vision-Language-Action domain, proposing and prototyping novel approaches to enhance robot reasoning and generalization capabilities.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• VLA Model Expertise: Proven experience in training, fine-tuning, and deploying large Vision-Language-Action models or similar large generative models for robotics.
• Core Frameworks: Familiarity with NVIDIA Gr00t or similar integrated robotic learning frameworks (e.g., Deep RL libraries, imitation learning).
• Data Proficiency: Experience working with large-scale robotic datasets, specifically knowledge of or experience with LeRobot data structure and curation.
• Programming & ML: Exceptional proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, and general machine learning engineering practices.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of robotic perception (vision processing) and trajectory planning.
