About Employer:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Developer specializing in the WordPress ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in custom theme development, complex plugin configuration, and scalable e-commerce solutions using WooCommerce. Your Task:
- Design, build, and maintain functional, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using the WordPress CMS.
- Develop custom themes and plugins using PHP and adhere to professional coding standards.
- Implement and customize WooCommerce solutions for scalable e-commerce platforms.
- Manage and optimize WordPress data structures, including custom fields, using tools like ACF or Toolset.
- Integrate third-party services, CRM, and email marketing platforms via APIs.
- Optimize websites for performance, SEO, security, and mobile responsiveness.
- Write clean HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery to create pixel-perfect interfaces.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex code- and CSS-related issues efficiently.
Your Profile:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience developing and launching new, complex WordPress sites.
- Expert proficiency in PHP and strong experience with the WordPress API (actions, filters, template hierarchy).
- Expert in HTML5, CSS3, and strong proficiency in JavaScript/jQuery.
- Proven experience developing and optimizing WooCommerce solutions.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with database management and writing efficient SQL queries.
- Basic knowledge of the German language (A2 level or higher) is mandatory.
- The willingness to relocate to Germany within 180 days.
Nice to have:
- Experience with modern page builders (e.g., Elementor, Gutenberg).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Familiarity with security plugins (e.g., Wordfence) and backup solutions (e.g., Updraft Plus).
- Experience in optimizing WordPress sites for performance (caching, asset management).
