Backend Developer – PHP (Symfony + Doctrine ORM)

About Employer:

We are looking for a talented Backend Developer with a strong background in PHP to build and maintain high-performance server-side applications. You will be responsible for the core logic, API development, and data management. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the Symfony framework and is passionate about building clean, efficient, and scalable back-end systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement back-end applications using PHP and the Symfony framework.
• Manage data access and database interactions using the Doctrine ORM.
• Develop and maintain APIs (REST/GraphQL) that are reliable and secure.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless data flow and application functionality.
• Ensure the back-end systems meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from system architecture to deployment.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven professional experience as a Backend Developer.
• Expertise in PHP and the Symfony framework.
• Strong proficiency with Doctrine ORM.
• Solid experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with API design principles.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
